Comfort Inn and Suites

Ask for Sindia and she will discount the room rate by $10-$20 depending on the room reserved.  This motel houses a lot of airline crews as it is about ten minutes from JFK.  Rooms ranged from $139-

169 before discount.  This motel is approximately 7 miles from the event site. 

Surfside Motel

This is a clean basic motel and is absolutely the closest to the event site, approximately 4 miles away.  They are not willing to negotiate and their rate is $150/night and that includes all taxes/fees.  I was shown a couple of the rooms and would not hesitate to stay there.  

Best Western Plus Brooklyn Bay Hotel

 Right off of the Belt Parkway and about 10 miles from the event site.  Rooms ranged $180-$230/night and they were willing to discount from there depending on what type of room was booked. 

That’s pretty much it for “local” hostelry.  The next option would be to book at one of the JFK airport hotels or a hotel in Manhattan.
