In 1996 Jimmy Dowd, Walker Hornung and Thad-Rock opened Blood NY in Rockaway Beach, a store that had a hand on the pulse of the Surf, Music and Skateboard underground....that same year they wanted to celebrate all of the things and friends that they loved,so they held an event called Bloodfest on the boardwalk in Rockaway Beach Queens...featuring the now legendary Q-South as the headlining band......Fast forward to 2006...just 10 years after...Jimmy Dowd has created St.James Clothing.The Stathis family has opened Boarders 92nd street,Thaddeus "Thad-Rock" Schneider has been on (Rescue Me, Law and Order, Love Like Blood) and Walker, now 6 albums deep has co-founded Into the Whip Records...Only thing left to do...Rally the whole scene together to establish Rockstock and Barrels NYC the ultimate Surf and Skate contest on the east coast...with the most amazing FREE concert featuring The best upcoming bands and established acts that NYC has to offer........Rockstock NYC!
